The work on the OpenMx GUI is just beginning. So this forum will be actively discussing the developments as they occur. We welcome input from the beta testers as well as the developers.
Is the plan to stay close to R and build the GUI in tcl/TK or similar?
Right now, I'm planning on using Qt--I think tcl/TK might be limiting.
Might be nice to have a command line on the GUI, so you could type things like
"A->B" and have that path created: best of both worlds
Also (A->B) to delete a path if it already exists (or similar syntax - something that means "delete".
A<-N1:N5 to create 5 paths into A etc.
Would make GUI updates much quicker.
